Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

DRBC

Following on the success of deployments of BEarena's Disaster Recovery technology for our corporate client base, BEarena has now launched a managed service aimed at the SMB and midrange market to enable businesses with an all encompassing offsite backup and Disaster Recovery regime.

Overview

FlexDR is the only secure, managed service available in the marketplace today able to deliver the level of coverage required by diverse technical infrastructures, yet at a price point competitive with traditional, less advanced backup and recovery solutions.

FlexDR has the capability to:

  • Protect physical and/or virtual Windows, Linux, and Unix servers and workstations.
  • Integrate with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Microsoft SQL, Oracle databases and more to deliver application consistent recovery points.
  • Maintain two copies of your data, near-line (HA) and offline (DR).
  • Protect your data over a secure, point-to-point dedicated link.
  • Provide RPO's from zero to 24 hours or more.
  • Typical RTO's for data recovery is sub 5 mins, for total server recovery sub 15 mins irrespective of size of data set.
  • Eliminate your backup window, data is continually protected.
  • With the RapidDR addition you can restore your organisation to a working state from total failure in less than 30 minutes.

How does FlexDR deliver such Functionality?

FlexDR uses advanced storage technology to mirror writes from the primary disk to the FlexDR managed appliance. Once in FlexDR, data can be mirrored, snapshotted, re-presented. Disaster Recovery testing now becomes a 30 minute exercise for most organisations and recovery takes less than 15 minutes. Our host based agents guarantee application consistency, and our application recovery agents make email and DB recovery fast and efficient.

    FlexDR Target Audience

    • Companies with poor backup coverage, or with applications that require multiple restore points in any one day
    • Organisations planning to make an investment in Disaster Recovery, or looking to outsource their backup, recovery, or DR requirements.

      • The secure point-to-point link to connect your organisation to the FlexDR network.
      • The delivery model is based on a 12, 24, or 36 month agreement, and is all encompassing. One fixed price per month provides your organisation with everything you need to fully protect your servers and data.

        Did you know ...

VMware ESXi 4 vs VMware ESX4

ESX4 as a package is based on ESXi4 but comes with an additional service console attached. This service console is nothing else but a virtual machine running Linux and consuming additional resources. If you have a large scale deployment and use vCenter for managing your environment, why waste valuable resources and install this service console many times?

ESXi has a smaller footprint and is easier to patch and maintain.
